We recommend always preheating the Thermal Jug. It is especially beneficial to preheat it when brewing only a few cups of coffee, as the temperature will cool down faster with less liquid (compared to a full pot). We have found the Thermal Jug works best when brewing at least 5-10 cups of coffee. You can preheat the Thermal Jug by filling it with hot water, closing the lid, and letting it heat up for 5 minutes.&#xA0;
